Hemingway lived a life of adventure, from driving ambulances in World War I, to his time in the Spanish Civil War, to being present for the Normandy Invasion and the liberation of Paris in World War II.
He obviously used and appreciated timepieces like today’s featured watch, produced in 1952. It is a Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Stainless Steel, Ref 6285. As further testament to its perfect operation, if you don’t believe Hemingway, this movement is an Officially Certified Chronometer. That means that when this watch was made, the movement went to the COSC, a division of the Swiss government, for individual testing and certification of its accuracy in different positions and temperatures.
If you see yourself as a daring adventurer who loves precision and things that work perfectly, we just might have the watch for you.
